Danielle is an AACTA award winning Greek-Australian writer, story developer and actor, who is passionate about telling stories of unorthodox women from CALD backgrounds, cultural outsiders or antiheroines wrestling with their inner and outer worlds.
Danielle’s short film GORGO which she created, wrote and starred in, won the 2025 AACTA Award for Best Australian Short Film, and was nominated across multiple Australian film festivals, taking home awards at Flickerfest 2024, and Stellar Shorts Film Festival 2025. The film also enjoyed international success at festivals in the US and Europe, including a North American premiere at Santa Barbara International Film Festival and most recently selected by The French Academy (César) to screen at Les Nuits En Or 2025.
Danielle is currently co-writing the sci-fi drama feature film 2 MOONS, produced by Co Curious with director Fadia Abboud attached, commissioned by the Powerhouse Museum. Danielle’s supernatural-cringe-comedy online series, CURSE OF THE VIRGIN, received Screen Australia development funding, with Barry Gamba and Bec Bignell attached as Executive Producers, and Grace Tan attached to direct. Danielle was selected for the 2024 Cinefest Oz Writer’s Retreat to further develop her pilot script for the series.
Danielle co-wrote Episode 4 of HALAL GURLS for ABCiview and was the Producers’ Attachment (Development) for Co Curious’ Western Sydney anthology feature HERE OUT WEST. Danielle’s original fantasy dark-comedy series, FACE MY FURIE, was selected for the Co Curious/Netflix Creative Equity Fund, with Script Consultant Kirsty Fisher.
Danielle completed a development placement with Lingo Pictures through the Screen Australia Developing the Developer initiative. She also served as Script Coordinator for the SBS series WHILE THE MEN ARE AWAY, led by Showrunner Kim Wilson, and was Script Coordinator for Season 1 of Sarah Scheller and Alison Bell’s THE LETDOWN for Netflix and ABC iView.
